- Cancellations: Non-refundable Main Cabin tickets can be canceled for a Trip Credit or Flight Credit. Refundable fares are refunded to the original form of payment.
- Basic / lowest fares: American Basic Economy tickets are generally non-changeable and non-refundable after the 24-hour window.
- 24-hour rule: All American Airlines tickets booked 7+ days before departure can be canceled within 24 hours of purchase for a full refund (U.S. DOT rule).
